The PUMA Trading System is B3's advanced trading platform, facilitating the exchange of a broad range of financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, fixed-income securities, and commodities. It utilizes industry-standard FIX (Financial Information eXchange) and SBE (Simple Binary Encoding) protocols, which are recognized globally for their communication standards.

These protocols are widely adopted by major exchanges around the world, such as SGX (Singapore Exchange), NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), LSE (London Stock Exchange), CME Group, and HKEX (Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing), ensuring seamless connectivity and compatibility in the international financial landscape.

B3 Rules for Order Entry Sessions

To promote efficient use of its infrastructure, B3 enforces two
main rules for the order entry sessions commercial policy:

    Idle OE Session Maintenance: B3 evaluates the order entry (OE) sessions each month to classify them as either idle or active. The criteria for this classification are outlined in B3’s Commercial Policy for Connectivity Services.

    Maximum Quantity of Sessions Allowed: The criteria for determining the maximum number of allowed sessions are detailed in B3’s Commercial Policy for Connectivity Services.

Checklist

Steps to launch your
operations in Brazil

1 - Sign an NDA
with CM: Gain access to historical market data samples and our comprehensive materials, including a formal proposal.
2 - Choose your legal and tax representatives: Select and sign agreements with your legal and tax 
representatives to initiate the required legal processes.
3 - Choose your 
local custodian: Sign an agreement with a local custodian to open a custody account. Note: Legal representatives and custodians can be the same institution.
4 - Sign the agreements with CM Capital: Complete the brokerage agreement and any other required service agreements, such as for infrastructure and historical data.
5 - Sign the give-up agreement with CM Capital and the carrying broker: Transfer trades for settlement and custody to the carrying broker by signing this agreement.
6 - Certify trading software with B3: Certify your software for order entry and market data to access B3’s production environment.
7 - Request sessions at B3: CM Capital will arrange the sessions needed for you to begin trading at B3.
